Job Description

• Provide nursing care using specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Deliver culturally based and age-specific care.
• Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Description

• 28-bed Cardiac Medical Stepdown unit specializing in recovery post vascular and electrophysiology procedures.
• Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure.
• Provide cardiac monitoring for all patient populations.
• Manage titration of multiple intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions.
• All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed ECG interpretation courses.
• Ideal for nurses interested in transitioning to an ICU setting.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Education Requirements

• Required: Diploma of Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
