Audiologist Position

Location: Johnson City, New York

Job Summary

Provide timely, accurate, and reliable clinical audiological services to inpatients, outpatients, home care patients, nursing home patients, hospital staff, affiliated employees, vendors, and community groups. Priority is given to services directly affecting patients and students.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply accepted principles and procedures for measurement, prediction, non-medical diagnosis, and testing related to auditory and vestibular disorders.
• Administer, interpret, and supervise clinical audiological services.
• Perform complete audiological evaluations including air, bone, and speech testing.
• Conduct middle ear analysis and site of lesion testing.
• Monitor ototoxic medication effects.
• Perform NICU hearing screenings and CAP testing.
• Conduct electro-physiological and industrial hearing screenings.
• Evaluate hearing aids, select, fit, and provide follow-up for amplification devices.
• Counsel hearing-impaired individuals or groups.
• Perform minor repair and modification of hearing instruments.
• Assist with program development and collect data for quality assurance programs.
• Provide services as referred by physicians or mandated by New York State.
• Maintain contracts as a community provider.
• Gather data for statistical review and prepare reports for referring physicians.
• Maintain medical records in compliance with OSHM, JCAHO, and certifying organization standards.
• Adhere to service delivery standards.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Audiology
• New York State Audiology License

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience
