Neurophysiology Technologist I - FS

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, assists in performing various Neurophysiology procedures that aid in diagnosing and treating nerve and brain disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and identify Neurophysiology data in different settings.
  • After supervised orientation: obtain patient history, attach electrodes, operate Neurophysiology equipment, observe studies, analyze wave graphs, document disorders and artifacts, and adjust equipment settings.
  • Care for patients of all ages; prepare patients for Neurophysiology studies and complete post-study paperwork.
  • Follow hospital and departmental guidelines during patient care.
  • Participate in educational, departmental, and required meetings.
  • Observe Neurophysiology data and acquire new skills under supervision, including work in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
  • Maintain equipment and report repairs.
  • Keep a clean environment including equipment and workspaces.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Contract Length

Approximately 13 weeks (89 days rounded to nearest week).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to provide outstanding patient care.
  • General knowledge of physiology.
  • Cognitive and psychomotor skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for clear, concise, and calm information relay.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • One or more years of experience in Neurophysiology, Neurodiagnostics, or Polysomnography.
