Location: Peoria, Illinois

Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to a group of patients during a designated time frame. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver quality care within the institution's philosophy.
Essential Functions
- Perform all unit-specific nursing duties within the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to neuro nursing practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for healthcare team use.
- Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify plans of care and nursing interventions based on ongoing evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues, including private discussions when necessary.
- Provide constructive feedback to support peer professional development and collaborate to expand knowledge.
- Identify personal learning needs and proactively seek solutions.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years relevant nursing experience.
Education
- Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
- Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Certifications & Licensure
- Illinois State RN License in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a strong background in neuro nursing seeking a clinical nursing role in Illinois.
