Description
Respiratory Therapist Position - Detroit, Michigan
Job Summary
- Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
- Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
- Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
Education Requirements
- Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
Certification & Licensure
- Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care (required)
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
