Description

ICU RN Travel Assignment - Clovis, New Mexico

Specialty: ICU RN
Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
  • Follow and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs.
  • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
  • Complete patient population/age-specific education and competency testing per unit standards.
  • Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
  • Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite during the first week; failure after two attempts results in contract cancellation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years current ICU RN experience.
  • At least one previous 13-week travel assignment (prior travel experience required).
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
  • ACLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Must pass BCA testing during the first week of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPIC experience preferred; training available onsite.
