Cardiac Ultrasonographer - Vestal, New York

Job Summary

• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams to evaluate cardiac structure and function, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, TEE, and stress echo.
• Interpret exams for preliminary reports to identify critically abnormal findings and notify physicians.
• Clean and disinfect TEE probes following infection control standards.
• Record and report results of all procedures.
• Respond to stat/emergency echo calls during off-hours.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records.
• Adhere to service delivery standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Cardiac Ultrasonography from an accredited school

Certifications & Licensure

• Required:

  • RDMS Certification from ARDMS or RCS from CCI
  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Preferred:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI
