Job Opportunity: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Specialty: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a specialty area. Core responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients
- Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
- Administering medications and managing IV infusions and blood products
- Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
- Overseeing treatment by technicians or other service providers
- Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegating tasks to support staff
- Performing other assigned duties
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Ability to function independently in the specialty area after orientation
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and evaluation skills
- Ability to maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care
- Basic computer skills
Education Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher (preferred)
Certifications & Licensure
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
