Description
Radiology Technologist Position - Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Summary
- Perform routine radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable examinations in diagnostic radiology, nursing units, outpatient areas, and surgery department.
- Take radiographs per physician orders.
- Versatile within the diagnostic radiology department.
- Protect patients and employees from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Knowledge of front desk operations and computer systems.
- Report equipment problems to manager and Clinical Engineers.
- Schedule exams department-wide and alert supervisors as needed.
- Use centralized transport program for patient transportation.
- Access and manage patient exam information in computer systems.
- Interact professionally with other departments.
- Call in on-call imaging associates as required.
- Assist Radiologic Technologist students.
- Perform duties related to equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (ODH, Joint Commission), supply ordering, staff scheduling, and audits.
- Maintain access to patient records as part of medical imaging operations.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation, and sterile techniques/procedures.
- Patient positioning and operation of x-ray machines and printers.
Education Requirements
- Graduation from an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology school.
Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT certification required.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
