Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - CFH L&D

Location: Urbana, Illinois

Job Summary

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to a group of patients within the Labor & Delivery unit. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and implementing care, monitoring fetal well-being, administering medications, and participating in intrapartum care for patients and newborns during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all duties specific to the Labor & Delivery unit.
Conduct initial patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation.
Monitor fetal well-being.
Administer medications specific to obstetric patients.
Provide patient education tailored to the obstetric population.
Participate in labor, delivery, and surgical delivery care for mother and newborn.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care.
Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
Engage in professional development and competency fulfillment.

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
Illinois state RN License in good standing.
Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP (American Heart Association)
