Description

Job Opportunity: RN - CFH L&D

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Specialty: Labor & Delivery Nursing

Job Description

Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to Labor & Delivery unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to obstetric nursing practice.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for healthcare team use.
Complete initial patient assessments and develop plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in professional development and knowledge expansion.
Provide care to inpatient obstetric patients, including:
- Monitoring fetal well-being
- Administering medications specific to obstetric patients
- Providing patient education tailored to the obstetric population
- Participating in intrapartum care during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

Education

Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

Illinois State RN License in good standing
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)
NRP (American Heart Association)
