Job Overview

Seeking a competent Med/Surg Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a travel nursing role. The nurse will perform thorough assessments, deliver appropriate nursing care across the lifespan (Pediatric to Geriatric), and support the perioperative team with patient education and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and accurate patient assessments.
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care to Med/Surg patients.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with courteous and positive communication.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques.
• Understand surgical patient conditions, procedures, and anesthesia care continuum.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Specialty: Med/Surg RN
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (higher value from data)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (required)
  • BLS Certification (required)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Contract Length

• 8 weeks
