Description

Job Opportunity: Clinical Director (Travel Nursing)

Location: Basking Ridge, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel - Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Lead and manage the clinical team for the MSO and APCS entity, overseeing daily clinical operations within the agency. Responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards to improve outcomes and meet licensing and accreditation requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of nursing care according to professional standards
  • Manage compliance with corporate, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
  • Develop and implement facility policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Assign adequate and appropriate staffing for all shifts within state guidelines
  • Lead, supervise, and review performance of nurse managers, nurses, and support staff
  • Manage facility operations, business planning, and productivity standards
  • Oversee budget planning, implementation, and monitoring
  • Manage inventory, order processing, and distribution of nursing and medical supplies
  • Serve as liaison between administration, healthcare staff, residents, and families
  • Review and oversee contracts with insurance companies and agencies
  • Establish outcome criteria for Clinical Indicators and monitor performance improvement programs
  • Monitor infection control plans and ensure compliance
  • Lead annual in-service training programs for CHHA team members
  • Conduct orientation and skills assessments for CHHA and nurses
  • Develop and maintain high-tech training and competencies for field staff
  • Coordinate pre-hire medical documentation review
  • Monitor collection, storage, and archiving of client medical records
  • Supervise MSO nursing team members and mentor case managers and field nurses
  • Oversee clinical documentation, insurance authorizations, care plans, and case conferences
  • Serve as Acting Administrator in the Director’s absence
  • Visit private duty nursing cases regularly, especially acute/high tech cases within first 48 hours
  • Conduct training and annual evaluations for field case managers
  • Provide supervisory and clinical support to field nurses
  • Teach CHHA training classes and secure licensure

Qualifications

  • Education: BSN required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in a home health care setting
    • Experience with home health care standards, quality assurance, or risk management
    • Acute care experience
    • At least 1 year experience in high-tech nursing

Licensure

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be registered with the DCA
