Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care to telemetry patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Uphold professionalism, adhere to policies and procedures, and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with a focus on patient satisfaction and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients; individualize care accordingly.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide patient education related to surgical procedures, including pre-operative and postoperative assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Contract Length

• 52 weeks (1 year)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience (required).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Dysrhythmia certification (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
