Med-Surg RN Opportunity

Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
• Complete patient population/age-specific education and competency testing per unit standards.
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years current experience in Med-Surg nursing specialty.
• Must have completed at least one previous 13-week travel assignment (prior travel experience required).
• Team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.

Certifications & Licensure

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required.

Preferred Skills

• EPIC experience preferred; training available on-site.
