Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neurosurgical ICU

Location: Neptune, New Jersey

Job Summary

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ recent years of Critical Care experience required.
• Highly preferred experience caring for neurosurgical patients, including ventilator management and external ventricular drain (EVD) care.

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA
• Telemetry certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Contact Stroke 4 Hours
