Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Southfield, Michigan

Job Summary

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
• Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
• Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
• Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience

Education Requirements

• Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)

Certification & Licensure

• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care (required)
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
