Job Opportunity: RN - Cath Lab (Travel)

Location: Newton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical - Nursing - Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Provide care tailored to surgical patients, including understanding conditions, procedures, and anesthesia.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Conduct patient education regarding surgical procedures and instructions, including pre-operative and postoperative assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Cath Lab
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (highest required years of experience)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards
