Job Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Location: Broadview, Illinois
Employment Type: Health Services - Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Oversee daily clinical operations within the medical department, reporting to facility leadership.
• Manage and supervise nursing and non-licensed healthcare staff, including training, performance evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of licensure, including executing physician orders, assisting in exams/treatments, medication administration, emergency care, triage, and physical assessments.
• Ensure adequate staffing and fill in during short staffing periods.
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and coordinate early releases when appropriate.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of medical records.
• Assist with audits, compliance with pharmacy laws, and review of medical files.
• Provide health counseling and education individually or in groups.
• Support accreditation efforts and prepare required reports and documentation.
• Respond to legal matters related to medical services as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical supervisory experience.
• Nursing Experience: At least 1 year of professional nursing experience.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree or diploma in nursing.
• Licensure: Current RN license in Illinois.
• Other: Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Corrections experience is strongly preferred.
