Job Opportunity: Clinical Dietician

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract (Clinical-Allied-Travel)
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient nutritional care plans.
  • Provide age-appropriate assessments for patients at nutrition risk, including diabetes management and education.
  • Adapt nutrition plans to meet specific economic, social, cultural, and age-appropriate patient needs.
  • Reassess patients at appropriate intervals and adjust plans of care as needed.
  • Provide age-appropriate education to support nutritional plans.
  • Assess learning needs and readiness to learn for patients and families.
  • Participate in the development and review of educational materials and department resources.
  • Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with participation in the RD call schedule.
  • Serve pediatric population in ambulatory and acute care settings, working with a team of experienced dietitians.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Texas.
  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • Knowledge of nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and pediatrics, including specialized formulas.
  • Ability to observe nutritional deficiencies, make assessments and recommendations, and educate others.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and nutrition software programs.
