Job Opportunity: Sonographer (Ob/Gyn Ultrasound)

Location: Southgate, Kentucky

Job Description

• Perform clinical imaging duties specializing in Obstetric/Gynecological ultrasound, focusing on Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Conduct ultrasound examinations following AIUM and ACOG guidelines and protocols.
• Provide quality patient care, accurate record keeping, and proper care of ultrasound equipment.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Assess patient needs and obtain appropriate history prior to exams.
• Explain testing procedures to patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
• Participate in peer review, process improvement activities, and department meetings.
• Use information systems proficiently for structured reporting and image archival.
• Schedule add-on and emergency exams with good customer service standards.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in high-risk or office-based OB/GYN ultrasound diagnostics and procedures.
• Competency in routine OB/GYN ultrasound procedures including M-mode, pulse and color Doppler.
• Knowledge of fetal and cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
• Ability to perform vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, respiration rate, oxygen saturation).
• Familiarity with PACS and structured reporting systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound or Allied Health
  OR
• Graduate from an Accredited Ultrasound training program

Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• BLS (American Heart Association)
