Job Opportunity: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Eloy, Arizona

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing basic nursing duties including:

• Executing physician orders
• Operating pill call and sick call
• Assisting physicians in examinations and treatments
• Performing technical/clinical procedures within the scope of LPN licensure
• Managing medication dispensing and documentation
• Maintaining security and confidentiality of medical records
• Observing and recording patient behavior
• Assisting with medical unit inspections and inventory control
• Documenting and reporting activities according to policies
• Responding to emergencies and maintaining sanitation standards
• Communicating effectively with staff, patients, and administration
• Supporting accreditation efforts and safety protocols
• Escorting patients for medical treatment
• Working rotating shifts in a secure, potentially hostile environment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Must hold a valid LPN license in the state of Arizona
• Valid driver’s license required

Experience Requirements

• No specific years of experience required
• No prior travel experience required

• Correctional facility setting with potential exposure to hostile behavior
• Rotating shifts and confined work areas
• Emphasis on security and safety for both patients and staff

This position is suitable for LPNs comfortable working in secure, correctional healthcare environments and performing a broad range of nursing duties under physician supervision.
