Registered Nurse (RN) - Combined Procedural Unit
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 7 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Key duties include:
- Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs
- Identifying patient needs and prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Developing and coordinating individualized care plans through initial and ongoing assessments
- Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care
- Documenting care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
- Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting innovations in care delivery
- Providing patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
- Telemetry experience
- Pre-Op experience
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
