Job Opportunity: Ultrasonographer MFM III

Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract (Clinical-Allied-Travel)
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

• Perform routine and comprehensive ultrasound examinations for Maternal Fetal Medicine and Radiology interpretation.
• Obtain, review, and integrate patient history and clinical data to facilitate diagnostic results.
• Perform procedures and record anatomic, pathologic, and physiologic data for physician interpretation.
• Record and process sonographic images and observations accurately and completely.
• Exercise discretion and judgment during diagnostic exams.
• Provide patient education related to ultrasound procedures.
• Verify patient identification and ensure procedure correlates with clinical history.
• Review clinical information including personal/family history and prior imaging studies.
• Communicate effectively and reassuringly with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
• Use independent judgment to differentiate normal and pathologic findings and extend exams as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, pathology, hemodynamics, and ultrasound physics.
• Complete ultrasound exams within designated time frames.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM (may vary based on clinic schedule)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography
• Recent Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience within the last year
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics (RDMS-OB)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Fetal Echocardiography (RDMS-FE)
• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
• Experience in Fetal Echocardiography
• Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Nuchal Translucency certification via Perinatal Quality Foundation

Additional Information

• Broad knowledge of ultrasound physics and procedures, including operation of required equipment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to promote positive interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships
