Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical - Nursing - Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care specific to Labor & Delivery.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
Demonstrate professional responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
Promote patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients in Labor & Delivery.
Individualize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
Provide pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Geriatric patients
Experience working with High Risk patients

Experience

Specialty: Labor & Delivery Nursing.

Physical Requirements

As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery RNs seeking a travel assignment in New Jersey.
