Description
Surgical Tech - Travel
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Contingent Labor
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
Attends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to provide an optimum peri-operative experience. Requires knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety, and sterile technique.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
Additional Experience & Competencies
- Knowledge of principles of aseptic technique, surgical procedure orientation, and operation/care of equipment and machines.
- Understands patient and staff safety recommendations.
- Capable of rapid, accurate reactions with concern for quality patient care.
- Effective communication and teamwork with various personnel levels.
- Physical demands include standing and walking for the majority of the work schedule, moderate to heavy lifting.
- Exposure to cuts, burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals, and x-ray.
