Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of inmates/residents. Responsibilities include monitoring inpatient hospitalizations, supervising licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, maintaining medical records confidentiality, auditing pharmacy use, providing health counseling and education, and assisting with accreditation processes and legal proceedings related to healthcare services.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of correctional nursing experience
• Correctional nursing experience within the last year
