Job Opportunity: PCU RN
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care, coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare teams, administering medications and treatments, and supervising LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry/progressive care unit (PCU) experience, including telemetry experience
- Telemetry/PCU experience within the last year
- At least 13 weeks of total travel nursing experience
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
- NIHSS certification.
Additional Information
- Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
- Clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel is part of the role.
