Location: Espanola, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during assigned shifts.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
• Complete patient population, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
• Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic electronic health record experience preferred but not required (training available on-site).
• Experience in Orthopedics, EENT, and/or Vascular surgery is a plus.
• PALS and ACLS certifications preferred.

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float between departments or local locations within a 20-mile radius.
