Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Eloy, Arizona

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include attending sick calls, operating medication distribution, assessing new and ill patients, performing emergency procedures, and coordinating professional medical services. The RN also supervises licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff, maintains confidentiality of medical records, audits pharmacy use, provides health counseling and education, and assists with accreditation processes and reporting.

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of correctional nursing experience
• Correctional nursing experience within the last year

Additional Information

• Must comply with all applicable policies and procedures related to nursing care and security.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical and legal documents.
• Participate in court hearings if necessary.
• Maintain good working relationships with facility staff and outside providers.
