Job Opportunity: Interventional Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Summary

This is an entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision with a mentor or preceptor. The role involves developing competencies to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients. The purpose is to assist medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of simple to complex conditions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care using cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology in various care settings (acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care, outreach clinics).
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice guidelines.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and improve care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with experience within the last year.
  • Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • Current certification in one or more of the following: ARRT (Vascular Interventional Radiography), ARRT (Cardiac Interventional Radiography), ARRT (Radiography), or CCI.
  • Certification from ARDMS.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
