Job Opportunity: RN Behavioral Health

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Under general supervision, provide nursing care to patients with a range of behavioral health conditions, from simple to complex.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage care for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; note changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver competent patient care.
• Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
• Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI).
