Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Urbana, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the Emergency Department (ED) scope of service.
- Conduct initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures through continuous evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to promote a healing environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
