Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Shelby, Montana

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include attending sick calls, operating medication distribution, assessing new and ill patients, performing emergency procedures, and coordinating professional medical services. The RN also monitors inpatient hospitalizations, supervises licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, maintains confidentiality of medical records, audits pharmacy use, provides health counseling and education, and assists with accreditation and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
• Experience in a corrections or correctional healthcare setting

Additional Information

• Must maintain security and confidentiality of medical records
• Ability to interpret medical and technical procedures and regulations

• Ability to supervise nursing and medical staff
