Location: Ladson, South Carolina

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist provides prescribed physical therapy treatments aimed at restoring patients to their maximum rehabilitative potential. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and delivering care to patients with deficits in self-care, mobility, safety, range of motion, or strength. The Physical Therapist supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and aides to ensure treatment goals are met. Coordination with other disciplines, agencies, and families is required to meet patient care needs. This role requires operation of a vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Essential Functions

• Provide direct hands-on patient care following the patient’s plan of care and current physical therapy standards.
• Document all care, coordination of services, orders, and goals accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Supervise care provided by Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides.
• Coordinate with other healthcare disciplines, agencies, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Demonstrates knowledge of orthotic, prosthetic, and adaptive/assistive devices

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of therapeutic tasks and activities to improve functional abilities and rehabilitative outcomes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Competency in specialty areas relevant to physical therapy practice may be required.

Additional Requirements

• Must have a valid, current driver’s license due to job-related vehicle operation.
