Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

Job Summary

Provide nursing care based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and individualized patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate ongoing patient status, care, and treatment plans with patients, nursing colleagues, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Perform Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary patient discharging to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months relevant nursing experience.
• 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year.
• Acute care experience.
• Experience managing patients on ventilators.
• Experience with conscious sedation.

Education:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association.
