Job Opportunity: Radiology Technologist

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description

• Perform routine radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable examinations in diagnostic radiology, nursing units, outpatient areas, and surgery departments.
• Take radiographs as ordered by physicians.
• Work flexibly within the diagnostic radiology department.
• Ensure protection of patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Understand front desk operations and computer systems; report equipment issues to management and clinical engineers.
• Schedule exams department-wide and notify supervisors as needed.
• Use centralized transport programs for patient movement.
• Access and manage patient exam information, including ordering, reprinting, or canceling exams.
• Collaborate professionally with other departments.
• Call in on-call imaging associates when necessary.
• Communicate equipment problems promptly to clinical engineering and management.
• Assist Radiologic Technologist students.
• Perform duties related to equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (including state and Joint Commission standards), supply ordering, staff scheduling, and audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper access to patient records during medical imaging operations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in operation of x-ray machines and related equipment, including printers
