Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU/Step
Location
- Urbana, Illinois

- Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours
- 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Job Summary
- Provide direct care to CVICU patients, including post-operative CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients.
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete hourly rounding on patients.
- Fulfill all departmental competencies and proactively assist internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- CVICU experience with 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Cardiac Stepdown experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
