Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Hartsville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include monitoring inpatient hospitalizations, supervising licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, maintaining confidentiality of medical records, auditing pharmacy use, providing health counseling and education, and assisting with accreditation processes and safety reporting.

• 12 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of correctional nursing experience, with correctional experience within the last year

Key Responsibilities

• Execute licensed provider’s orders and administer medications.
• Assist providers in patient examinations and treatments.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care provided by other staff.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of medical records.
• Perform emergency procedures and coordinate care as needed.
• Provide health counseling and education to patients.
• Assist with medical program accreditation and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain medical and operational records and reports.
