Registered Nurse - Telemetry Stepdown

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is culturally based and age-specific, following the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Overview:

28-bed Cardiac Medical Stepdown unit specializing in recovery after vascular and electrophysiology procedures.
Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure.
Provides cardiac monitoring for all patient populations.
Services include titration of multiple intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions.
All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed ECG interpretation courses.
Suitable for nurses interested in transitioning to an ICU setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
Minimum 2 years of stepdown experience
Experience with cardiac drips such as amiodarone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, milrinone, etc.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
This role is ideal for nurses seeking experience in cardiac telemetry and stepdown care with potential ICU transition.
