Description

Registered Nurse - Renal

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Job Description

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with kidney disease, including those undergoing kidney transplant. Care is based on nursing principles and tailored to culturally and age-specific needs. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams.

The unit is a 24-bed medical/surgical renal unit specializing in kidney disease and transplant care. Nurses are trained in unique skills such as peritoneal dialysis (manual and cycler methods) and participate in specialized pharmacologic research studies. The unit also cares for general medical/surgical patients and offers remote telemetry monitoring for some beds.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 1 year of nephrology experience, including experience within the last year
  • At least 8 weeks of experience in RN 2S Renal (Renal/2 South)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
