Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 17 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and individualized patient care delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Communicate ongoing patient status, care, and treatment plans with patients, nursing colleagues, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe medication delivery.
Perform Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
Provide patient and family-centered education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
Collaborate in multi-disciplinary patient discharging to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months relevant nursing experience.
At least 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience with conscious sedation and telemetry.

Education:

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Certifications & Licensure:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
