Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and individualized patient care delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Communicate ongoing patient status, care, and treatment plans with patients, nursing colleagues, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe medication delivery.
- Perform Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide patient and family-centered education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
- Collaborate in multi-disciplinary patient discharging to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months relevant nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience with conscious sedation and telemetry.
Education:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
