Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology under the direction of a radiologist or other providers.
  • Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic studies following specific guidelines and prescribed protocols.
  • Utilize appropriate radiation protection measures to ensure safety for self and patients.
  • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, assist throughout exams, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Accurately perform radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures with minimal repeats and ensure correct image identification.
  • Review studies for technical accuracy and collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers for protocol guidance and order clarification.
  • Document fluoro time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopic studies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC workflow from order entry to exam completion, including documentation and supply charges.
  • Participate in scheduling, shift rotations, including weekends, call, and holidays as needed.
  • Assist with ancillary services, patient transport, equipment troubleshooting, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and support onboarding of new employees.
  • Foster a positive teaching and learning environment for staff, students/interns, providers, and visitors.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
  • Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of current clinical experience specifically in diagnostic radiology.

Additional Information

  • Must follow radiation safety standards including ALARA, OSHA, PPE, and hand hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support departmental efficiency.
  • Willingness to assist with various departmental tasks beyond primary duties.

This position is ideal for radiologic technologists seeking a short-term assignment with opportunities to work in a dynamic clinical environment while supporting patient care and departmental operations.
