Physical Therapist

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Specialist/Professional
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Job Description

• Perform therapeutic physical therapy treatments under minimal direction according to physician orders.
• Evaluate patients, formulate and modify treatment plans based on patient response.
• Participate in discharge planning and instruct patients on home programs.
• Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records.
• May supervise and assist students during clinical rotations depending on experience.
• Maintain and clean therapy equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy

Experience

• No prior experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology sufficient for patient evaluation and treatment.
• Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills to guide patients in their treatment and development.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff.
• Basic computer knowledge.
