Description
Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Estancia, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in patient examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include attending sick calls, operating medication distribution, assessing new and ill patients, performing emergency procedures, and coordinating professional medical services. The RN also monitors inpatient hospitalizations, supervises licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, maintains confidentiality of medical records, audits pharmacy use, provides health counseling and education, and assists with accreditation processes and safety reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Must comply with all applicable policies and procedures related to nursing care and security.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical and legal documents.
- Responsible for maintaining security and confidentiality of medical records.
