Registered Nurse (RN) - HVI Procedure IR

- Hours: 9 hours per day, 4 days per week (4x9's), 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources.
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care.
- Administer medications necessary for procedures.
- Manage patient care during moderate sedation.
- Monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures.
- Document procedure events.
- Use and understand supplies and equipment related to various interventional radiology procedures.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Specialty Procedures and Skills
- Peripheral vascular work
- Venous central lines
- Tube changes
- Neuro procedures (preferred)
- Embolization work (arterial and venous)
- Venous thrombectomy work
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
