Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Location

Urbana, Illinois

Job Type

Clinical Nursing
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process.
Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as needed.
Precept staff from various units.
Participate in Unit Nurse Leader Training as required.
Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
Utilize EPIC electronic health record system.
Must have current Trauma 1 experience.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
