Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Location
- Urbana, Illinois
Job Type
- Clinical Nursing
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process.
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as needed.
- Precept staff from various units.
- Participate in Unit Nurse Leader Training as required.
- Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system.
- Must have current Trauma 1 experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
