Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Location
- Urbana, Illinois
Job Type
- Clinical Nursing
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process.
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU as needed.
- Participate in Unit Nurse Leader Training when required.
- Precept and support staff from various units.
- Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of float experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Education
- Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Specialty Experience
- Trauma 1 experience required (facility-specific designation).
This position is ideal for RNs with trauma experience seeking a night shift role in a diverse inpatient setting with opportunities for leadership and professional growth.
