Job Opportunity: Interventional Technologist I

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Employment Type

  • Clinical Technician

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks (with option for 26 weeks)

Work Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (rotating day off per week)
  • Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.
  • Supports diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of simple to complex conditions in adult and/or pediatric patients.
  • Works in various care settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Use specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

Education and Licensure

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification
  • ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography
  • ARRT - Cardiac Interventional Radiography
  • ARRT - Radiography

This position offers an opportunity for entry-level technologists to gain experience in interventional cardiovascular and radiologic procedures with structured supervision and professional development.
