Registered Dietician

Location

Bronx, New York

Job Summary

Monitor patients for food/drug interactions and provide education.
Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Screen and assess patients based on levels of care to determine nutritional needs and provide follow-up.
Interview patients and/or families to obtain food habits and preferences.
Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.
Provide nutrition education and document diet instructions and patient understanding.
Modify patient menus as needed.

Contract Length

Approximately 14 weeks (96 days)

Shift Details

8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, 35 hours per week with a 1-hour break
Weekends and holidays required, typically 1 or 2 weekends per month
Inpatient experience required

Required Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
